- Beetle the Bard is English, like the wizarding Shakespeare. Shakespeare is England's playwright, Russia have Anton Chekov. It's possible that when Beetle the Bard was describe as the tales wizarding families read to their children, it's English wizarding family.
- Krum, a student of Durmstrang from a wizarding family, recognize the Hallows as Grindelwald's symbol first.
-- Though it's possible that hearing the story told to them, the children could not have seen the symbol - and that modern edition of Beetle the Bard would not include an illustration of a symbol now associated with Grindelwald. A lot of aviators and sports team, prior to 1940s, had wore the Swastika for luck, it was a Sanskirt symbol appropriated by the Nazis.

2. Environment: (BTW: JK Rowling says Durmstrang is in Sweden or Norway

I think, at Durmstang, Gellert probably practically lived outside when it was warm, probably skipping classes too. This boy sounded too comfortable letting himself fall back out Gregorovitch's window, I could so see him performing stunt flying over the lakes and mountains.

I noticed this place has kind of been dead for a while, and I have been meaning to share these, anyway... 

I recently went through some old notebooks of mine and wrote out all of the unfinished plot bunnies that had been hidden between my class notes over the years.... These originally ranged from fully planned out epics to two paragraphs from a scene of a story that I would never be able to finish. I managed to sort out about 30 Grindeldore plot bunnies- all of which are now in need of a good home...  

I had big plans for all of these, but my life is a little hectic right now, and it doesn't look like I will get to finish anything anytime soon, so I am putting these bunnies up for adoption. I have tried to sort them out and give them all tentative titles for your claiming/adoption convenience. I have plenty of notes/ideas/characters and timelines for most of these stories, so if you have any questions, if my summaries don't make sense, or if you find yourself stuck, I will offer up as much help as I can, but please take these plot bunnies home with you!  So I've been searching the web, and I managed to find this lovely community but haven't found anything like this yet. If this is not allowed, sorry, but if this story hasn't been written yet, I really think it should :(

So with all the various Harry-goes-back-in-time-and-fixes-everything stories out there, I'm very surprised that there hasn't been a Dumbledore-goes-back-in-time-and-fixes-everything story! It could be so beautiful, him reuniting with his true love Gellert, fixing his mistakes and curving the Dark nature of the wizard (after all, true love concurs all). He could make sure Ariana doesn't die and perhaps get her the help he never did before and mend fences with Aberforth. And later on, Gellert could take a young Tom Riddle under his wing, molding the boy's craving for power enter something a bit more healthier.

If there's a story like this out there, PLEASE let me know. If not, I am begging someone to write it!
